Progressive Employee Journeys That Transform Career Paths for Your Teams
We’re offering a new methodology to use for identifying career paths for your teams. This approach leaves behind the traditional top-down process that relies on cascading down career paths through the organization.
In the Future of Work, career paths are identified from the bottom up as a collaborative, facilitated process among the team and the manager. The manager and their direct reports team co-design what comprises each job position at each level of experience:
- New employee
- Mid-career employee
- Experienced employee
This new approach surfaces any hidden issues to management during the process, rather than later. That way they can be handled either right away if high priority, or held in a parking lot to be considered in the future.
“I learned this, at least, by my experiment; that if one advances confidently in the direction of his
dreams, and endeavours to live the life that he imagines,
he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
— HENRY DAVID THOREAU
